1885 in Mo. Her father was James W. Shumate Born in Virginia. Her
mother was Ida Mariah Kennedy (Burk) (Shumate) born 1860 in ILL.
Josie married James F. Nayle (Nail) May 19th, 1901 in Payne County
Oklahoma. Josie also had a brother Thomas Shumate born 1886.
This picture was taken form the book Queen City of the Cimarron. A
book about Perkins Oklahoma which the Shumate's settled in. This
was Josie Sunday school class one year before she married. Josie
& James Fred Nail married May 19, 1901 in Payne County Oklahoma.
Later they moved to OR., where they are buried now in Multnomah County,
OR. Diamond died April 08, 1963.
